Presentation to my friend before leaving
Before leaving, I told you —
I would rush upon the faraway North.
It would be the fall and the chill would raid you,
The missing from me to you,
Would become that line of wild geese above the blue sky.
Before leaving, I also told you —
I would fly to the remote side of the Pacific Ocean.
When you would stroll again
The seashore that we both once walked hand in hand many times,
The blessing from me to you,
Would blend in the waves that beat heavily against the beach.
Before leaving, I even told you —
My soul would rise to heaven after many years.
When the stars would be flashing in the silent night,
Humankind would lift their heads and look up,
And see all the evasive stars in the sky,
There would be me inside them,
It’s that I wouldn’t close my eyes after dying,
And I would not like to leave you alone,
That’s when I turn my head to look at you again,
My eyeballs, my pupils and my soul would all be flashing there!
